TIFF ’10: Masters program announced

TIFF has announced the Masters program line up for this year’s festival, and it looks impressive, to say the least. This list of ten premieres showcases the latest projects from some of the world’s greatest filmmakers. Including the previously announced titles, Erotic Man (Jørgen Leth), Mysteries of Lisbon (Raul Ruiz) and Nostalgia for the Light (Patricio Guzmán), the Master’s program includes 13 films in all.

Film Socialism (Jean-Luc Godard, Switzerland) North American Premiere

Poetry (Lee Chang-dong, South Korea) North American Premiere
Roses à Crédit (Amos Gitai, France) World Premiere
Route Irish (Ken Loach, United Kingdom/France/Belgium/Italy/Spain) North American Premiere
The Sleeping Beauty (Catheirne Breillat, France) North American Premiere
The Strange Case of Angelica (Manoel de Oliveira, Portugal/Spain/France/Brazil) North American Premiere
Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (Apichatpong Weerasethakul, U.K./Thailand/France/Germany/Spain) North American Premiere
